2014 Jets Off-Season

Jets brass have to consider trading some key members of the roster this upcoming off-season...

Let me explain, age is catching up with a few player(s) and we need a youth movement now more than anything... Our team is falling a part at the seams...

Left Tackle D'Brickashaw Ferguson has been less than stellar this season often being beat by quicker more agile speed rushers and rush linebackers... Brick needs a chance at a fresh start & playing with a game plan that fit his technique...  Can GM Idzik sell it, 1st & 3rd is what Brick is worth... Target could be the St. Louis Rams, as the Rams are loaded with draft selections this year, thanks to the Washington Redskins...

Next on the list middle LB David Harris will be in the final year of his contract... Harris is very solid leader on the defensive side of the ball and a team like the Chicago Bears who have a major need at inside linebacker could pull a trigger on a trade for him... Idzik could acquire an additional 3rd round this year for him... A must move if this team intends to complete the overhaul of the front 7...

Antonio Cromartie coming off a career year bugged by injury will be turning thirty years old next year and will be in the final year of his contract... It is time to cut the cord and make that elusive trade... What team would be inclined to take on a talent like Cromartie, one I can think of would be the Oakland Raiders... The Raiders have Hayden as their number one but no number two... For a 3rd Round selection, the Raiders should be giddy to make this deal...

The Jets already have a solid draft approach with good selection within the 1st 3 rounds including some additional compensatory picks coming on day 3 but these trades are must if the team is to head into the future with any positive momentum...
