Leger Douzable re-signs with Jets

Defensive lineman Leger Douzable isn't a household name by any stretch of the imagination, but he emerged as an important backup last season for the New York Jets. After two days as an unrestricted free agent, Douzable decided to return. He signed a one-year contract, a league source confirmed.

Douzable played in 16 games, participating in 21 percent (236) of the defensive snaps. He recorded 22 tackles, three tackles for loss and 1.5 sacks. He became a respected veteran presence around the Jets' young defensive linemen.
